Important Attendance Procedures

All student absences must be verified by a parent.  All notes from parents/guardians should include the following:

Full legal name of student
Student's ID number
Student's grade
Date(s) of absence
Reason for Absence
Parent's signature
Parent's phone number
Current date

Notes will be accepted within two days of the student's return to school.  Parent Notes may be submitted by email but must come from a parent's verified email account and be emailed to the campus attendance clerk.

State Approved Non-Absences

The following absences are considered "State Approved Non-Absences" if the proper documentation is provided by the student and/or parent/guardian within two days of the student's return to school.  A "State Approved Non-Absence" is one for which the District still receives funding and the student is marked in the attendance system with a code that is equivalent to present.

Medical Absences

A student may be excused for a temporary (partial day) absence due to an appointment with health care professionals if the student begins classes or returns to school on the same day of the appointment/treatment.
When the student returns to school on the day of or after a medical appointment, a student needs to present written verification from the medical offices to be considered as a Non-Absence.

Attendance and Tardies

Attendance is taken every class period.  If students are more than ten minutes late to any class, it is an absence.  Arrival within that 10-minute period is considered a tardy.

If you are going to be out for a long period of time.  Please print this form, fill out, and submit to our attendance clerk Terri Mokry.
